SVG to STL Converter
Extrude simple, closed SVG shapes into a unitless STL mesh. This page uses a fixed depth of 10 coordinate units; holes and compound paths are not supported.
Check the format and output requirements for your project
Make a simple extrusion from a closed shape
Use a self-contained SVG with closed filled paths, rectangles, circles, ellipses, or polygons. The converter adds a depth of 10 coordinate units and downloads a binary STL mesh. For example, a rectangle that spans 20 by 10 SVG user coordinates produces a mesh spanning 20 by 10 by 10 STL coordinates. STL does not store a unit such as millimeters, so set the scale in your mesh application and inspect the result before use.
Why Choose Our SVG to STL Converter?
Choose the output that fits your task and inspect the converted file before using it
Closed-shape extrusion
Create a mesh from supported closed filled paths and basic shapes.
Defined depth
The page adds 10 coordinate units of depth. Set the intended physical scale after import.
Explicit input checks
Unsupported holes, overlaps, text, and effects produce an error instead of a partial model.
Browser processing
The extrusion runs in your browser without sending the SVG to a conversion server.

How to Convert SVG to STL
Select a source file, run the conversion, and check the result
Prepare simple closed shapes
Use one filled contour per shape. Remove holes, overlaps, text, images, and effects. Apply group transforms in your editor before exporting the SVG.
Create the extrusion
Select the SVG and convert it. The page exports binary STL at a fixed depth of 10 coordinate units; colors and the SVG canvas size do not set a physical scale.
Inspect the mesh and scale
Download the STL and open it in your mesh application. Check dimensions, shape boundaries, surface orientation, and any requirements of the intended process before use.

Supported geometry and output scale
Each supported contour is approximated with straight segments, triangulated, and extruded with caps and side walls. Separate shapes must not touch, overlap, or contain one another. Colors are discarded because this export contains geometry only. Root SVG width, height, and viewBox do not convert the geometry into a physical measurement.
Holes, compound paths, open strokes, overlapping shapes, and self-intersections are rejected. Prepare these models in a geometry editor instead.
Text, images, filters, masks, clipping, referenced shapes, stylesheets, hidden content, and partial opacity are not supported. Convert text and strokes to simple closed outlines where possible.
Apply group and root transforms to the geometry in your SVG editor first. Basic transforms on individual shapes are supported.
This page has no depth, unit, or curve-resolution control. Curves are approximated with a default tolerance of one SVG coordinate unit.
Physical-unit and percentage shape dimensions are rejected. Coordinates must be within one million units of the origin.
Troubleshooting the result
The extrusion accepts one closed contour per shape and does not triangulate holes.
Use a geometry editor that supports the intended cutouts. Splitting a hole into a separate filled shape will not preserve the hole.
The converter accepts a limited subset of explicit filled geometry.
Outline text and strokes, apply group transforms, and simplify the resulting paths. Outlined letters with holes still require a tool that supports holes.
STL stores coordinates without a measurement unit. The converter uses SVG user coordinates and a depth of 10.
Choose the intended unit and scale in your target application. Do not infer millimeters from the SVG canvas size.
