Save a static HTML capture inside an SVG

Use this tool when you need a picture of self-contained HTML in an SVG file. It renders supported HTML and CSS to a canvas, then embeds the resulting PNG. Increasing the displayed SVG size enlarges those pixels; it does not trace the page into vector shapes or retain editable text.

🚀

Static capture

Convert the supported appearance of an HTML document into one image.

🔒

SVG container

The PNG image is embedded in the SVG file, so it does not need a separate image download.

⚡

Capture dimensions

Width and height set the capture viewport. The default render scale is 2×.

🎯

Browser rendering

This conversion runs in your browser and does not upload the HTML to a conversion server.

📁

Isolated content

Scripts and remote resources are not loaded. Prepare a self-contained HTML document.

🌐

One file at a time

Raster capture, not vector extraction

HTML is rendered in an isolated browser document with html2canvas. The canvas is saved as a PNG data image inside the SVG.

Scripts, remote images, external stylesheets and remote fonts are not loaded.

Some HTML and CSS features may render differently or be unsupported.

Output is limited to 16,384 pixels per side and 64 megapixels.

Troubleshooting the result

An image or font is missing

Remote resources are not loaded during capture.

Embed images as data URLs and use available local fonts or embedded font data.

The layout differs from the original page

The renderer supports only part of HTML and CSS, and scripts are not executed.

Simplify the HTML and inline CSS, then compare the capture with your source.

Text cannot be edited as vector shapes

The SVG contains a raster PNG capture.

Edit the HTML and capture it again. Use a vector editor when you need editable paths.

The capture is clipped or too large

The viewport dimensions do not match the content.

Adjust width and height. Keep output within 16,384 pixels per side and 64 megapixels.
